Assistant Professor

Dr. Christina Katsagoni is a Clinical Dietitian-Nutritionist (BSc, MSc, and PhD in Clinical Nutrition) and an Assistant Professor at the Department of Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics at the International Hellenic University with a specialization in Pediatric and Adolescent Clinical Nutrition. She completed her postdoctoral research at Rutgers University (USA) and holds a PhD in the field of Clinical Nutrition from Harokopio University.

She has extensive clinical experience in public hospitals and served as a Clinical Dietitian-Nutritionist at “Agia Sofia” Children’s General Hospital in Athens from 2013 until 2025. She has contributed actively to the development of national and international clinical nutrition guidelines and has been awarded two research grants and four academic excellence awards.

Her research focuses on pediatric oncology and gastrointestinal nutrition, cystic fibrosis, and malnutrition management, with active international collaborations with institutions such as Columbia University and the University of Glasgow. She has authored 31 peer-reviewed publications with over 1,100 citations and is a regular speaker at national and international conferences.
